“Managing the Pain”
Thank You! 2004 Dr. Brenda Simuel Jackson, Ph.D.
The left side, down the thigh and sometimes the leg goes the pain, occasionally making a visit to the right.
Bending over or down causes grimaces of pain, getting up in the morning bring cries of Lord help.
Pills bring short time relief by dulling the sharpness, and the anguish of this enemy, this trouble, called pain.
Remembering the song, I will Trust in The Lord, takes my mental focus away from my discomfort, I remember Your word that szys You will never leave me or forsake me, and as I go through rivers of pain, they will not sweep over me.
I remember the pharmacy in the hem of Your garment which brings me joy, I remember my weeping may endure for the night, but there is expectant joy int he morning.
I cried out, and You heard, and enable me to rise, to walk, to carry, to sit, to travel, to endure, for now the pain is eased, and I can continue one episode at a time.
